Finca La Laja, close to the small Mexican village of Huatusco in the state of Veracruz, has been run by the Sampieri family for three generations. The farm is certified for its sustainable production by the Rainforest Alliance and 4C. The water used to extract the caffeine comes from glaciers on Pico de Orizaba which is Mexico’s highest mountain, which is why it is referred to as Mountain Water Process.
